SANdBLASTING is the solo project of Luca Torasso began in the 1997 : at today Luca with his project released and produced 6 official Cds , joined to different compilations and played live in many events ( Schlagstrom , Italian jazz rebel fest, No vapour, Street rave parade, No Human No Cry, ) and club (the last most important on April 2007 @ Slimelight - London). The name for the project has not been chosen casually: there is a link between the "sandblasting" metal surface treatment and Luca's sound project. SANdBLASTING thinks all human being have a brain but they are unable to use it for thinking and acting cause the big amount of rust coating around it, formed by years and years of not use of this vital organ. The main pourpose of the SANdBLASTING project is to produce sounds as abrasive and violent as the sandblasting metal surface treatment for to remove the rust coating and to clean the brain of the human being. In the 1999 SANdBLASTING released his first official track Abbà Pather on the compilation "Related to ZZZprod..." and his first work ( the mini Cd I AM I ) for the Italian indipendent label ZZZprod. In the 2001 Luca started his indipendent label project called D.s.K. (Das SANdBLASTER Kabinett): under this label at now days have been released 3 works and a new release is planned for the end of the 2007. In the 2002 SANdBLASTING released the new work Scassatolive and began the collaboration with the Italian label Sonic Belligeranza . In the 2004 Luca with the dj, writer and producer dj Balli started the Sonic Belligeranza sub label +Belligeranza : a label dedicated to noize and ideas. The first release of +Belligeranza is El Paso sound-wall the new concept work of SANdBLASTING. In the same year Luca began the collaboration with the Italian artist Stefano Rossello ( :BAHNTIER// ) and his label project Rustblade . Always in the same year Luca start to act like dj in the local Turin club scene playing E.B.M., industrial, rhythmic noise and powerelectronics. On January 2006 played live in Berlin at the Schlagstrom fest with Dive, Asche, Synapscape and :Bahntier//, on August 2007 organizes in Turin (Italy) the first Rustblade festival where played live with :Bahntier// and Dive and released on the first Schlagstrom compilation the exclusive and unreleased track The Butchers (rmx). On February 2007 SANdBLASTING released his new work Adrenaline . On April 2007 played live at Slimelight ( London ) and in August at the Two days of Schlagstrom festival in Berlin. At now days SANdBLASTING releases an exclusive new track " breaking rules 2007update " for the new Schlagstrom double compilation, an exclusive track only available on the new Detune-X EP "White Powder" out for the Machinenfest 2007 event and an unreleased and exclusive track Frequencies (rmx) for the Chew-Z Italian net label. Luca is now remixing tracks for different artists and is working at his next new releases planned for the end of the 2008.
