About "E i vermi ameranno la mia carne"
CONDANNA is an original experiment through alchemical audio
activities characterized by an obsessive and introspective research of
sound. 50 minutes to discover the circular subconscious, the dark soul,
there finding a deep penetration in the wound of silence: this is “....e i vermi ameranno la mia carne”, the CONDANNA debut cd. Everything has been programmed with an old "Roland" sequencer and all sounds come from synths and samplers, without additional pc editing or mastering. This first work is an attempt to create a personal manifesto able to transmit a complete lack of expression. A coma of the soul, a coma of the soul born from a hidden anger in the flesh, existential bruising eternally present. In 2005 the live performance began, outlined by a sound complex and
eclectic; at the heart of the live performance is a component
of improvisation with the use of instruments that allow CONDANNA to interact
with his state of mind and his instinct at the same time, creating a
greater sense of truth to the sounds played live. From these live experiments
some of the recorded material in this new release emerged.

Paolo Pineschi aka Condanna brings us an experimental release based on alchemical audio activities characterized by an obsessive and introspective research in sound. “E I Vermi Ameranno La Mia Carne” is an exploration of the inner self or the point where music emit a strong visual effect. The main force of this album is that it doesn’t sound like the stereotypical ambient release as it’s a mix of experimental collages, cold sounds and a few, slow triphop like rhythms. It’s definitely experimental music à volonté so the 4th track entitled “Segnare Del Caso L’Arte E’Morte” is a surprise for being more ‘musical’-minded. This cut is much more elaborated in structures and sounds and is for sure a cool cut in the midst of a heavy electro-experimental tracklist. Condonna sounds like a sonic puzzle full of crackings and scratches, which will for sure please the lovers of this minimal experiences! It’s definitely a quite accessible release in the experimental genre!

Aus dem sonnigen Italien stammt dieses Industrial/ Noise-Projekt um Paolo Pineschi. Laut Promoinfo ist man soundmäßig im Stil von CONVERTER und NURSE WITH WOUND unterwegs. Die CD beinhaltet 7 Tracks, die sich (ohne Gesang natürlich) um Tod, Orgasmus, Fleisch, Würmer, Korrosion und Unendlichkeit drehen sollen. Man hat versucht diese Themen in Klanggebilde und Soundkonstrukte umzuwandeln. Dabei herausgekommen ist ein Werk, das sich zwischen Dark Ambient, Noise und Industrial bewegt. Nach quietschenden, langsamen Sägewerks- und Industriegeräuschen folgt mit Track 4 „ Segnare dove cadere “ sogar ein kleiner Ausflug in Minimal Electro Gefilde und wird dabei durchaus melodisch. Es folgt mit Track 5 und 6 noch einmal ein wenig Quietschen und Sägen. Schließlich beendet ein gut 6 Minuten andauerndes Vogelgezwitscher diese Veröffentlichung.
Sicherlich legen CONDANNA hier ein recht eigenwilliges und experimentelles Album vor. Insgesamt befindet sich aber für meinen Geschmack zu wenig Abwechslung darauf, was leider einen etwas faden Nachgeschmack hinterlässt. Wahrscheinlich nur etwas für Extrem-NOISEianer.

Düstere Soundscapes sind es, die Paolo Pineschi uns hier eröffnet. Es quietscht und rattert wie in einer Fabrikhalle. Die Geräuschkulisse erzeugt eine authentische Atmosphäre, der man sich kaum entziehen kann. Condanna gelingt es eindrucksvoll, die Hörer auf eine denkwürdige Reise in unbekannte Sphären zu entführen. Ursprünglich ins Leben gerufen, um Paolos eigenen dunklen Abgründen ein Ventil zu verschaffen, wird der Sound zu keiner Zeit langweilig. „Signare Dove Cadere“ glänzt sogar durch ein kurzes melodisches Einsprengsel. Liebhaber experimenteller Töne werden an dieser CD mit Sicherheit ihre Freude haben. Möglicherweise gelingt es dem Italiener sogar, Condannas internationalen Bekanntheitsgrad zu steigern, am Ende bleibt – wie immer – alles Geschmacksache. Wer bisher mit rein maschinellen Klangwelten überhaupt nichts anfangen konnte, den wird vermutlich auch dieses Werk nicht vom Gegenteil überzeugen. Doch wer weiß, hörenswert ist das Ganze ohne jeden Zweifel. Allemal Anlass genug, mit eventuell vorhandenen Vorurteilen aufzuräumen.
