This album was released as CD-Rom limited to 150 copies in june 2002, just before their performance at the metamatic festival 2002; there are previously unreleased tracks and some demo versions. You can download the first 4 tracks on bahntier official site; there are three previously unreleased tracks and three demo versions, all re-arranged, and included in Randome. Bahntier's main charachteristics are plain to see in this work, especially in "deeping mind", "keypunch" and "chemical zoo" demo version, which are the best tracks of the collection in my opinion. What is left has a slightly lower quality in my opinion, especially FM/AM/T and NYN. This bahntier promo cd gives quite an accurate description of the kind of music we are going to get, though the wall sound i was talking about in "randome" review sounds a little bit less "solid" and sharp; this is not the main thing of course, but very interesting indeed for those of you who want to get closer to bahntier and who is fond of this sort of italian scene productions for sure.

"Subspecies" é realizzato da Stefano Rossello per raccogliere inediti e demo-versions realizzate tra il 2000 e il 2002. Tra le prime la fredda Deeping mind; Seroxat che ci preannuncia le future tracce killer a base di noise martellante; Feestate, un inquietante rituale di suoni acidi e campionamenti ambientali; Keypunch, un viaggio nel cyber-spazio. E' Perfect Mind a incarnare l'idea che ci siamo fatti dei Bahntier attraverso i loro live: una traccia a base di power-electro ossessiva e dannatamente cattiva, che non lascia scampo nel suo inesorabile incedere. NYN è il brano più oscuro del demo e affonda le sue radici in una elettronica più datata. Tra le seconde, la versione qui presente di Chemical Zoo, orientata su piacevoli quanto acidi ritmi tribal-androidi, risulta più piatta della album-version; la versione strumentale di Junior è un industrial dai beat pompati e corrosivi, sicuramente più scarna rispetto alla versione di "Randome", ma tutta concentrata sulla potenza pura. E proprio questa è la differenza tra "Subspecies" e "Randome", nel primo vi è forse la ricerca di una maggiore immediatezza e impatto, nel secondo si è voluto esplorare le piene potenzialità delle macchine.
